Joseph R. Andrews, 80 years old, of Elyria, Ohio died on Friday, July 23, 2010 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain, Ohio following a one year illness.
He was born on November 10, 1929 in Berea, Ohio. Joseph served with the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a tool and die maker at Moen, Inc. for 25 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and he enjoyed golf and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rosellla (nee Antush); three sons, Richard (Cindy) of Lorain, Timothy and Thomas of Elyria; three grandchildren, Erika, Mark, and Sara Andrews; and one brother, Stanley Andrews of North Royalton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Leonard, Edward, and Robert Andrews; and his parents, Ignatius and Frances (nee Kwiatkowski) Andrews.
Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio 44035 on Sunday, July 25, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Closing prayers will be in the funeral home on Monday, July 26, 2010 at 9:30 A.M. A mass will follow at St. Jude Catholic Church, 590 Poplar Street, Elyria, Ohio 44035 at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria, Ohio, with full military honors provided by the VFW, Post 1079.
